Where Passion Takes

Two wrongs don’t make a right, but three rights make a left, and two Wrights made us fly.

Who We are

As members of AeroClub, students have the opportunity to engage in designing, fabricating, and simulating various free-flight, radio-controlled planes, and drones.

To overcome the challenges of a lack of an innovative environment, an adequate platform, and ample resources, AeroClub came into existence in 2017 under the Association of Mechanical Engineering (AME) by our seniors Ravindra Kesarwani, Monica Gupta, Rahul Kumar, Shikhar Kama under Dr. S.K.S. Yadav (Assistant Prof. MED) as the club’s Convener.

Drones

(Dynamic Remotely Operated Navigation System), sometimes referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), can carry out an impressive range of tasks, ranging from military operations to package delivery. Drones can be as large as an aircraft or as small as the palm of your hand. Essentially, a drone is a flying robot that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously using software-controlled flight plans in its embedded systems, that work in conjunction with onboard sensors and a global positioning system (GPS).

Hovercraft

Hovercraft is an amphibious vehicle. It is a craft which is capable of travelling over land, ice and other surfaces. The two main principles of hovercraft are lift and propulsion. It consists of blowers that can produce large volume of air. Hovercraft runs above the surface because of pressure difference between below the hull and above the hull. The basic principle of the hovercraft is that moving an object from the ground using air, then it requires less force to move the object. Because the object does not have any contact with the ground, then the surface tension will get reduced.

RC Winger Plane

RC plane is a small flying machine that is controlled remotely by an operator on the ground using a hand-held radio transmitter. The transmitter continuously communicates with a receiver within the craft that sends signals to servo mechanisms which move the control surfaces based on the position of joysticks. The control surfaces directly affect the orientation of the plane.Aeroclub has worked on all three winger planes configurations- low,mid and high winger planes. These RC aircrafts were fabricated from different types of material like chloroplast,Styrofoam,Biofoam.
